📦 Who Is Affected?
This policy applies to sellers whose eBay accounts are registered in specific countries listed by eBay and who do not have a dedicated eBay account manager. Countries affected include (but are not limited to): India, Brazil, Turkey, Israel, Mexico, and the Czech Republic.
You can view the full list of affected countries on the official eBay policy page.
🚫 What’s Changing?
Sellers in the listed countries will not be allowed to list items valued at US $2,500 or more (including shipping) if those items are listed on http://www.ebay.com and ship to the United States.
Important: Starting June 16, 2025, any existing listings that violate this policy will be automatically ended by eBay.
✅ What Sellers Can Still Do
- Continue selling to U.S. buyers — as long as the total item value (including shipping) is under $2,500.
- Sell high-value items — to buyers outside the United States. If you’re listing an item over $2,500 on another eBay site, make sure the U.S. is excluded as a shipping destination.

📌 Recommended Actions
- Review your active listings — especially any item worth $2,500 or more shipping to the U.S.
- Update shipping exclusions for high-value items if you want to keep selling them outside the U.S.
- Lower price or adjust shipping to stay under the $2,500 threshold if you want to keep targeting U.S. buyers.
- Consider applying for a dedicated eBay account manager if you regularly deal in high-value sales.
It’s pretty hard to follow this policy when you’re in Yugoslavia (!!!)… which hasn’t existed since the early 2000s. Maybe it’s time for someone at eBay to go to school 🙂
